A scenic concert by Marc Sinan with musicians from the Marc Sinan Company & the Dresdner Sinfoniker with artists and ensembles from the Sinti & Roma people, from Europe and India.

Together with musicians, artists and ensembles from Europe and India, “I EXIST – to Rajasthan” takes us on a journey to the mythical origins of a people. Ancient tales describe the origin of the Roma from Rajasthan. For the avant-garde musician Iva Bittová and the artist duo Damian & Delaine Le Bas, the encounter with this supposed origin also means a movement back to a part of their origins. And this journey into the unknown becomes a journey into one’s own existence. Journalist Nataly Bleuel accompanied the team on their trip to Rajasthan. ... nobody really talked much about who we were ... we were, but it was never really ... I don't know ... I don't know...yeah...it's quite hard for me to talk about it...it's...we're like crabs in a bucket...if one tries to get out, the others pull him back...I think...you're drawn to your own kind.... and it can hurt a lot when you try to avoid that...you get along with people and suddenly you realize that they are like you, you know....
