Oumuamua
2022/2024
A mysterious interstellar object moved against the laws of physics towards the Spreehalle Berlin.
It is the OUMUAMUA probe, a scout from far away, which has entered our solar system to collect data about humanity and its habits. In the interactive installation, OUMUAMUA communicates with the audience and with the musicians Laura Robles, Oğuz Büyükberber and Marc Sinan. It collects sounds and stories that the audience shares with it, and even reacts to movements and touches. Artificial intelligence creates a multimedia performance from completely new, hierarchy-free, sound (dis)orders. OUMUAMUA is an alternative concept to the colonial and anthropocentric world view. An interactive sound cosmos that stores and reproduces all input on an equal footing.
Visitors have the unique opportunity to enter into an exchange with OUMUAMUA and become part of this large extraterrestrial audiovisual collection themselves.
